On Tuesday, September 9, Media Campus NL hosts a new edition of Pizza Talk—an informal and thought‑provoking gathering at Media Park where current issues in the media take center stage. This time, the question is: how much space do we give young people?

Young people are often bombarded with conflicting expectations. They should limit their screen time, yet always be available. They’re given freedom, but hardly any real space. And in the media? They rarely get to speak for themselves, even though they have plenty to say.

Journalist and author Hanneke Mijnster (RTL Nieuws, Libelle, Mezza) shares her sharp perspective on how to take young people seriously again in the media. From the “Patatgeneratie” to Gen Z and Gen Alpha—how do you raise, collaborate with, or tell stories about young people in a world that’s completely different from your own?
